After quite some work done, the Swedish translation of python-docs is ready for the masses (well, Swedes are only like 10 million people or so).
I’m Daniel and my weird hobby is to translate open source software to Swedish. Done this now for 25 years or so.
Hope you will enjoy it and it will help you in your projects.
You are confusing the population of Sweden with Swedish people.
That says the population of Sweden is c. 8 million, and the total population of Swedish people are c. 13 million.
Roughly speaking, both these numbers are “like 10 million people”.
If we are being pedantic, neither of these populations are the relevant ones. We want the total number of Swedish speakers, which number some 10 million native speakers (bingo!) or 13 million including as a second language (still roughly “like 10 million”).
Can you please also paste the URL here so that it becomes easier for people to find?
The Swedish repo is here:
Other language repos can be found via the devguide:
The repo pulls from the Transifex platform: https://app.transifex.com/python-doc/python-newest/language/sv/
I was hoping to read the rendered documentation at https://docs.python.org/sv/3/ ![]()
It is not built yet, but will be great to see it there once it meets the devguide’s quality requirements.
could you please let me know whether the links are accessible ? it seems the links below are broken - sorry to bother..
I have discussed with Korean translation manager and looking into the benefits of using Transifex for Korean - I am merely doodling with the platform and some related (small) projects for learning - and it seemed as a wonderful benchmark for the Korean one to follow - I tried to check and learn - yet both are giving me 404

I think you need to be logged in to Transifex for the first link to work. The second doesn’t exist (yet).

I have approved your join request.
thank you so much indeed - as you can see I am super new to this, but more than impressed by the kindness and warm hearted support (I know I could not) of the community - very impressed - thank you !
The built unofficial Swedish python-docs-sv is at 3.14.0rc2 Documentation. This is my working copy used for reviewing and smashing build warnings (still 5 of them - hard to find).
