It looks like you’re running into an issue where trying to re‑enable the GitHub Student Developer Pack sends you to the Copilot Pro trial instead. This has been happening to several students recently. The GitHub Community Discussions can’t restore Student Pack access, but you can still contact GitHub Support — the ticket option is still available even if it’s not obvious from the Education page. Go to: https://support.github.com/contact If the system keeps redirecting you to Copilot Pro, include screenshots and explain that you are still an active student. Only GitHub Support can review your eligibility and restore the pack. |

his behavior is actually expected in some cases and usually means your Student Developer Pack eligibility has expired or needs re-verification, even if you’re still an active student. Why this happens The Student Developer Pack is time-limited and must be periodically re-verified. When GitHub no longer detects an active student status, it may: Remove student benefits, and Redirect you to the Copilot Pro free trial page instead of restoring the pack. This does not mean you’re permanently ineligible. What you should do Reapply for the Student Developer Pack Go to the GitHub Education page and start a new application (not Copilot). Submit fresh proof of enrollment (dated within the current academic term). Use clear verification documents A current student ID with a visible expiration date An official enrollment verification letter A tuition receipt or class schedule showing your name and institution If you’re redirected to Copilot Skip the Copilot flow and make sure you are applying through GitHub Education → Student. Student Pack and Copilot are separate, even though Copilot is included as a benefit. Contact GitHub Education Email: [email protected] Reply directly to any previous Student Pack rejection or expiration emails and request manual review. Mention that you previously had access and are still actively enrolled. |

Hi everyone,
I was previously able to use the GitHub Student Developer Pack. Recently, it stopped working. Every time I try to reactivate the student pack, it redirects me to the Copilot Pro free trial page instead of restoring the student benefits.
I am still an active student and should be eligible to use it. Can someone help confirm what I should do to regain access to my Student Developer Pack?
And it seems that there is currently no way to submit a ticket to get help.
