I have stumbled upon the Gemini 3 availability announcement when logging in, and updated the Jetbrains IDE plugin to the requisite version. Gemini 3 is not available to choose from after the upgrade, and my settings page at https://github.com/settings/copilot/features shows specifically Gemini 3 Pro as "disabled"; a few minutes later I enable it through my org level which the said settings page does not directly reference.

It would be nice to prompt us users for new models in ways which are more directly conducive to enable the models as they roll.

So far I seem to have worked here and there with outdated models for a while, which nothing much has solicited me to enable or know about, they just show up now in my org settings as "unconfigured".

I'll consider keeping my subscription if this or other new models, or the plugin, work better than former revisions.
