I can confirm this too. I have this problem mainly with Claude models. They just insert random spaces after dots in both simple and complex code. |

Copilot Chat is automatically inserting spaces after periods in IP addresses (e.g., 12. 12.12.16 instead of 12.12.12.16) This also happens with filenames containing periods (e.g., scraper. js instead of scraper.js) The issue persists even after multiple explicit requests to stop This makes it impossible to copy/paste commands containing IP addresses This is a critical bug for a coding assistant since IP addresses and filenames are fundamental to coding.
