Hi all,

With the GitHub Copilot plugin enabled intellisense keeps loading, duebto this issue I cant go to references, anyone a update or solution?

I use latest vscode and copilot version.
Workstation Macbook pro M1

Have the same issue on VS Code with github copilot enabled for typescript project.
Intellisense is stuck at loading, you cannot see the reference of a variable/method conveniently anymore.
This severely hinders coding capability.

This also is not related to ts version used by Intellisense, tried changing the version to workspace version, or using the nightly ts version extension. None would work.

When I disable the copilot plugin, then Intellisense works normally again.

Got the same issue. Even updated typescript in my project so it matches vscode's version, doesn't change anything. Super annoying bug, can't event CTRL + click a function or variable to see where it leads. This issue started after updating vscode, not sure if that's the problem or if copilot got an update as well.

Think this may be a Next.js match issue, because same has started happening to me as well when working on a Next.JS (w/o TS) project

Switching IDE/editor works. When I use IntelliJ with github copilot on the same project, the issue I saw on VS Code is not present.
However, you need the paid version of IntelliJ to do so.
Neovim with copilot plugin may be worth looking into too.

How can I synchronize the TypeScript version with VS Code to avoid conflicts?

If you mean matching your VS Code language service ts version with your compiler's ts version, you may configure the typescript.tsdk as in here. You can also manually choose the language service ts version to be your compiler's via the command palette.

hey there! hope you all are doing great, apparently what works for me was just clone again the repo and everything´s fine. I work with multiple angular projects and the issue was only with 1 specific project. I also read this solution in another thread.

IntelliSense also uses a lot of resources while being stuck

I have the same issue. I found that a temporary fix is to open a new chat in github copilot. But that's going to clear the chat history and can't reopen the chat history. Once I opened the previous chat history, the bug came again.
